When Life Gets Hectic, it’s Time for Ramen

Two days of travel and work deadlines led to this 4 pm lunch. I love that there are healthy-ish ways to make comfort foods similar to the ones I used to depend on in stressful times.

I found this organic ramen with no natural flavors or other ickiness and buy it now by the dozen. The brand has options that come with spice packets, but I like this plain version so I can create my own flavors. I add a spoon of miso after the noodles finish boiling, and then whatever chopped veggies and spices are easiest to grab.

I’m still struggling in the inspirational spark department. With today’s deadlines under control, I’m hoping to hike and be out in the world more this week, rather than the recent ten-hour-computer-screen workdays.

I read this verse this morning, and, although out of context, it gave me comfort.

“Ask where the good road is, the Godly paths you used to walk in, in the days of long ago. Travel there, and you will find rest for your souls.”   Jeremiah 6:16
